Program: The speaker was Constable John Kennedy, speaking about literacy projects in our region.

Committee Reports: Bob Barnes reported on the Christmas Party, indicating that it will be held next Monday, December 18th. Bob circulated a guest list, asking all Rotarians to please write down who their guests will be at next week’s Christmas party.

Attendance: 41 members for 57%.

President’s Report: President Doug Shatford reported that there would be a Board Meeting tomorrow, being Tuesday, December 12th, 2006, at 5:30 p.m. at the Offices of Creighton, Shatford & Drysdale.

Doug also called for nominations for new Officers for the 2007 year. The following people were nominated and elected: Linda Cooper for President, Steve LeBlanc for President-Elect, Dwight Jones for Vice-President, and Ron Wilson for Secretary.

Finesmaster: Vince Byrne was fined $.25, Marsh Fox was also fined $.25, Garry Stack was fined $.50, Ed Chitty was fined $.25, Morris Haugg was fined $.25, Bob Angel was fined $.25 Bob Janes was fined $.50, and anyone not bringing children to the Christmas party was fined $.25. Next week’s Finesmaster will be Bob Janes.

50/50 Draw: For a total prize of $44.50, looking for the Eight of Spades. The first winning ticket was #456, held by Frances Newman, who drew the Two of Clubs. The second winning ticket was #996, held by Garry Stack, who drew the King of Spades.

Guests: Guests at this week's meeting were Deputy Mayor George Baker, Counselor Ed Chitty, Counselor Rhindress, Constable Francis Smith, John Matthews, Frances Newman, Beth Clinton, Joan Beswick, Carol Oram, Ann Lewis and Maureen Collins.
